Marking its eighteenth annual installment, the Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" programs are set to take a chunk of fans later this week.

The week long affair begins on Sunday night (July 17th) at 9 p.m. with a specialty episode of my personal favorites, the wacky and unpredictable duo of Jamie "The Walrus" Hyneman and Adam Savage (enough said in the name) from Myth Busters.

The episode dives head first into the mysteries that surround these beautiful and dangerous predators, which are often misunderstood and painted in a bad light by pop media. The idea is to reveal what the truth is about sharks by actually testing out the popular theories. This will include, whether sharks can be deterred from attacking with a punch to the nose or a jab in the eyes or gills. In the episode, Adam and Jamie gear up in scuba tanks and go overboard to attempt experiments so dangerous that even the FBI make a brief appearance on the show. I only hope I get to see Kari in a bathing suit, god bless her.

This special edition Myth Busters episode is properly titled – Jaws Special, and continues with Adam and Jamie all week long as they officially host this year's Shark Week frenzy.
