The 16th Annual International Modern & Contemporary Art Fair, a.k.a. Art Miami, will take place January 6-9 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Art Miami spotlights more than 100 galleries from 25 countries around the world including Aruba, South Korea, Monaco, the USA, and the Netherlands.

This year's exposition has been dubbed by its creators, "Glocal," which is the central concept of Art Miami being global and yet local.

Today (Friday, January 06, 2006), opening day only, Art Miami opens its doors to the public free of admission from 2pm to 7pm. Hangout afterward from 7pm to 10pm as Art Miami kicks off its opening night bash, also free of charge, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

If you can't make it today, Art Miami will resume its regular schedule and admissions throughout the weekend until Monday. Hours of operation will be from noon to 8pm Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 6pm Monday. Admission will be Free for children under 12, $9 for groups of ten or more, $5 for students, and $12 for General Admission.
