Riverwalk Blues Festival set to kickoff after a 3-month delay

If you're a blues aficionado living in South Florida this weekend was made for you. Why? Because Chicago, Memphis, and every other juke joint in between is set to temporarily setup shop in your backyard.

The Riverwalk Blues Festival is set to kickoff on Friday at the Downtowner Saloon in the Riverwalk district of Ft. Lauderdale. It will run from Friday February 10th through Sunday February 12th.

Two things make this year's installment special. First of all, the festival was originally scheduled for November 3rd through the 6th, but had to be delayed for three months thanks to Hurricane Wilma. Secondly, the festival has returned to its original location in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale after spending the past few years out west in Lockhart Stadium.

There will be some big names headlining this year's festival including Corey Harris (of "The Blues" documentary fame) and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, but there are literally dozens of other acts performing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Daily admission will be $20, two-day will cost $38, and three-day admission will run you $52. You can get more information and a complete list of performers by calling 954-463-9800 or visiting the official website at www.riverwalkbluesfestival.com
