Might we see the demise of Harry Potter?

Can it really be? Is J.K. Rowling planning on killing of the beloved protagonist of her famed book series?

Maybe. Or at least that's the latest word from the Rowling camp. Earlier this week, she intimated that she may indeed kill off Harry Potter in the seventh and final installment of the Harry Potter book series. Rowling also mentioned that at least two main characters will die in the final installment, although it is obviously unclear if Potter is one of the two, etc. It is interesting to note that Rowling wrote the final installment of her book series before the first installment was even published.

In other Potter-related news, the fifth installment of the movie series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 13th, 2007. It is directed by the relatively unkown David Yates.

i knew that this will happen from the beginning,i bet that it's harry who'll kill voldemort.but i think neville will be the other one.he will kill bellatrix for sure

The good over evil story line has been great. I hope the ending will stay true to the story. That good can out weight or out last.

I think that Snape will stay true to Harry and die for him. And, or Hagrid will die,running into battle with his emotions running too high or something like that. However if she kills off Harry then he will definetly take Voldimort with him. If he doesn't die in batte with the dark lord then he will die of a wond that he gave him.

I personally don't want Harry Potter to die, but he can't die, neither can Hermione or Ron. All of them are in the Half Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows. And Dumbledore can't die either because he dies in the Half Blood Prince. But I think Neville and Voldemort wil die. So don't kill Harry- after all, he is the boy who lived.
