Mr. "Karma Chameleon" will get be getting a first-hand look at state-issued Karma.
80's pop icon and Culture Club frontman George O'Dowd, better known as Boy George, will be picking up garbage on the streets of New York starting on August 14th.
The 45-year-old singer was ordered to do community service after pleading guilty in March to false reporting of an incident. He called police with a bogus report of a burglary at his lower Manhattan apartment in October, and the responding officers found cocaine inside. According to a sanitation official, he could be assigned to pick up streets in Chinatown, Little Italy, Nolita or parts of the Lower East Side. O'Dowd will be issued a shovel, broom, plastic bags and gloves when he reports.
That should be an interesting site to behold, to say the least.
