Bracco's "On the Couch" worth a quick perusal

If for nothing else, Lorraine Bracco's auto-biographical book, On the Couch, is worth browsing because it offers a glimpse (albeit a biased one) into the personal life of actor Harvey Keitel.

The 51-year-old actress, who is best known for her role as psychologist Dr. Melfi in the hit HBO series The Sopranos (although film buffs will remember her Oscar-winning role in Goodfellas), chronicles the stormy relationship and ugly divorce and custody proceedings that went on between herself and Keitel. One of the interesting facets of the book, for Soprano fans anyway, is the reversal of roles between the real-life Bracco and her character in the show. In this book, she spends most of the time going into her own psychological issues instead of being the one doling out the psychoanalysis.

The book is available in bookstores and is published by Penguin Group.
