Never mind that she left us decades ago. Somehow, Marilyn Monroe is still finding ways to make headlines.

Her name is now being linked to ultra-famous hotel heiress Paris Hilton because of a recent comment that the young sex symbol made earlier this week. The somewhat dim-witted but extremely business savvy Hilton told Britain's The Sunday Times newspaper, "There's nobody in the world like me. I think every decade has an iconic blonde - like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana - and right now, I'm that icon."

A stretch? Not really. Hilton is everywhere these days, and like Monroe, her sexual adventures are the stuff of legend. Although admittedly, Monroe's sex romps have never been caught on tape.

Or have they?

The other tantalizing Marilyn Monroe news tidbit concerns some old home movie footage that was released by an old friend and confidant, Dolores Hope Masi. The footage is fairly tame, depicting her playing golf of all things, but the attention that this tape is getting is a tribute to Monroe's enduring popularity.

Masi was only 16-years-old the last time she spoke with Monroe. She remarked that there was a part of Monroe that loved to play like a kid. "I think that's why she was my instant friend, my instant mother. She loved to play. She had a little kid inside her."

That's all fine and dandy, but let's admit it. We're all hoping that someone will find some old home video footage of one of those legendary Monroe sexual escapades. If nothing else, it would cement Paris Hilton's some what extravagant claim.
