Brangelina Move to the French Quarter

It could be to follow Pitt's work on his charitable environmental project or it could be convenient for the actor to finish work on his film, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." The again it could be because the couple is tired of Hollywood or maybe it is the fact that they have enough cash to own four homes.

Whatever the case, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, along with their three children, recently made the move to a $3.5 million, six bedroom mansion in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Though Pitt's personal representative characterized the move as temporary, people in the city hope for more and Jolie herself appeared to give those people optimism.

Jolie insisted that the "kids are going to school there." That comment had some suggesting the couple appeared to be attempting to live a lower profile life outside the bright lights of Hollywood. However, those chances may be slim - local officials noted that the street had to be closed off when the couple moved into the home earlier this month.

The home, purchased under the name of the Mondo Bongo Trust, features a spiral staircase, elevator, and a large private courtyard. The property also features another two-story home, or guest house, and private parking for two vehicles. Residents indicated that of all the perks with the home, the parking may be the most significant luxury in the densely populated French Quarter.

The couple has significant interest in the area based on a project begun by Pitt. Jointly commissioned by Global Green USA, the goal of the project is to create 20 new homes that feature an environmental-friendly concept for residents of the storm-ravaged area.
