In at least one photo, though her hand is strategically placed, Antonella Barba is displayed in a revealing and sexy pose.

Then there are the other photos, placed strategically nearby on websites, of a woman engaged in sexual activity. The insinuation is that these are also Barba, though friends of the singer insist the photos are that of some other woman.

The storyline is that such photos could get the aspiring singer booted form American Idol, even if they don't reveal her to be completely in the nude. That is if you buy the fact that the other photos are not of her.

After all, back in season two, American Idol threw finalist Frenchie Davis off the show for a similar issue. At that time, topless photos of Davis had been posted on a porn Web site.

But at the same time, an interesting tidbit has emerged. Barba was actually panned by the judges yet somehow made it to perform another week. Then that Friday some racy photos come out of her in risky poses. Then some more photos over the weekend that may not be of her, yet suggesting her in lewd actions.

All just before Barba is set to perform Wednesday along with the other nine females making it to the next round. The same week that the top ten boys perform on Tuesday and the show is scheduled for three prime time evenings in a row.

It all begs the question:

Idol Vixen?

Internet Victim?

Or Fox Publicity Ploy?
