Obama vs. Clinton: Round I

It didn't take long for the two top presidential candidates in the democratic party to start slinging mud at one another. On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama accused one another of "dirty politics," with the focus of their barrage centering on entertainment mogul and political contributor David Geffen.
The founder of Dreamworks Studios used to back Bill Clinton, but has now shunned the Clinton franchise in favor of the younger and hipper Obama. In addition, Geffen publicly denounced both Bill and Hillary, telling New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd that while "everybody in politics lies," the former president and his wife "do it with such ease, it's troubling." These rather vicious comments have led to political sparring match of sorts, with both the Clinton and Obama camps firing off over the course of the day.
If I had to guess, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Expect to see plenty of aftershocks and repercussions from this little exchange.
