This time around, it was Salt Lake City's turn to feel the sting of another senseless teenage shooting rampage.
An 18-year old walked into a busy shopping mall in the downtown area, and began unloading countless rounds at random shoppers and employees. Four individuals were killed, include a fifteen-year old girl, and four others were injured.
Witnesses say that the gunman had a calm expression on his face and looked like an "average Joe". Police killed the unidentified teenager after a fierce exchange of gunfire.
In the coming weeks, media pundits will likely search for reasons why a youngster such as this would initiate such a horrific act of violence, and they'll likely consider things like violence on television, video games, or even music.
But the truth is that there is no rationale for such a senseless act.
