According to NBC television, Victoria Beckham, the wife of English soccer star David Beckham, has been offered her own as yet untitled reality show.
Beckham, 32, is coming to America because of her husband's multi-million dollar deal to play soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy. The former England soccer captain signed a five year, $250 million contract, to play for the Galaxy.
Immensely popular in Europe, Victoria Beckham was first known as Posh Spice, having starred with the 1990s pop group, the Spice Girls. Reportedly she will star in six half-hour episodes that attempt to chronicle the transition from pop star in Europe to her new life in California.
The couple is set to move to the United States during the month of August. The Beckhams, parents to three children, are easily Britain's most talked about pair though many Americans are unfamiliar with them.
The show will be produced by Simon Fuller of 19 Entertainment. Fuller served as manager for the Spice Girls and was one of the instrumental figures in the creation of the immensely popular television series, "American Idol." |
