He can't really sing yet he lasted almost forever on Idol. He finally gets voted off the show only to blow people away with his time on Letterman.

In the case of the proverbial, "it is better to be lucky than to be good", Sanjaya Malakar has eliminated the notion that fifteen minutes of fame is all one can truly expect. At 17 years of age, he is clearly the next tween idol, the stage once referred to as pre-teen. Owning a dreamy, to-die-for smile and many distinct hair styles, the Idol competitor has parlayed his looks and demeanor to grab pop culture despite his mediocre singing voice .

Reportedly, Malakar is the most searched male celebrity on Yahoo! He also is believed to have been offered a multitude of options, literally having millions of dollars in potential offers at his feet. The latest talk is the he might team up with the absolutely stunning Shyamali, 20, who just happens to be his sister.

Say what you will, but given the chance, he certainly nailed his opportunity on Letterman. Next up, Malakar is expected to meet President Bush on Saturday. He will be a guest of People magazine at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in Washington.

As People Magazine's guest, Malakar will dine with the likes of Valerie Bertinelli, Zac Efron of "High School Musical," comedian Eddie Izzard and activist Robert Kennedy Jr.
