The UK Air Accident Investigation Branch will be reviewing the causes of a Boeing 777 landing short of the runway at London's Heathrow Airport Thursday. The plane left tire tracks for hundreds of meters recording the craft's lengthy skid across the grass.

Commentary: Early press releases reported 17 people received minor injuries. Initial suggestions indicated the cause of the crash was a result of a power failure. According to wintesses, the landing wheels were deployed for a proper landing but the plane then just dropped to the ground.
