Busta Rhymes, busted four times in a matter of ten months, plead guilty on Wednesday but somehow managed to avoid jail time despite a posecution request that the rapper see some time. The hip-hop star pleaded guilty to assault, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
Commentary: Rhymes praised the judicial system and Judge Larry Stephen. The singer was assessed three years of probation, $1,250 in fines, and 10 days of community service. He must also take an anti-drunk-driving course. The 35-year-old rapper had recently been charged with assault on one of his former drivers as well as a fan, and for two other driving-related offenses.
