In a surprising revelation, an autopsy on the body of blues legend Ike Turner reveals the singer died of a cocaine overdose. Turner, 76, was in fact suffering from cardiovascular disease and emphysema, but the autopsy revealed it was the cocaine that in fact caused his death.
Commentary: Paul Parker, the chief investigator at the medical examiner's office, inoted that Turner had clearly abused cocaine in the past as well. The singer rose to stardom in the 1960s and 70s performing with his then wife Tina Turner. After falling on hard times, he then became a comeback in 2001. Turner won a Grammy just last year for "Risin' with the Blues."
