John Gibson, a Fox News Talk Show host, was being taken to task for what are being described as disgusting and reprehensible comments about the death of Heath Ledger. The Network host announced the sad and tragic death of the actor on Tuesday by first mocking him and then making light of his untimely passing.
Commentary: Gibson first played an audio quip from Ledger's Brokeback Mountain movie, the quote: "I wish I knew how to quit you" then quickly stated, "Well, he found out how to quit you." Gibson also called Ledger a "weirdo" and a man with "serious drug problem." The host then offered the most bizarre of remarks stating that Ledger might have killed himself because he had "watched the Clinton-Obama debate last night. I think he was an Edwards guy, cause he saw his Edwards guy was just completely irrelevant." The disgusting sequence earned Gibson top honors in Keith Olbermann's nightly segment called "The Worst Person in the World."
