Obama Tries to Walk the Talk

Barack Obama has been attempting to convince voters that he wants to end the bickering that has engulfed Washington politics in recent years. On a campaign trail where mud-slinging has engulfed both he and the other Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, Obama is now trying to put an end to the recent heated back and forth comments related to race.

Commentary: Continuously asked by pundits and reporters to respond to the statements of Hillary and Bill Clinton, Obama began an attempt to try to take a higher road Monday. Said the senator, "I don't want the campaign at this stage to degenerate into so much tit-for-tat, back-and-forth, that we lose sight of why all of us are doing this. We've got too much at stake at this time in our history to be engaging in this kind of silliness. I expect that other campaigns feel the same way." Obama went on to ask Democratic voters to avoid all racially-charged discussions.
