TMZ is reporting that Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney for Kevin Federeline, has been grilling the new Britney Spears companion, a gentleman by the name of Sam Lufti. During another scheduled deposition Thursday, Kaplan quizzed Lufti at length regarding his relationship with Spears as well as his means of support.

Commentary: During the deposition Kaplan apparently attempted to take the lid off Spears home behavior with questions about the medications the singer takes, what she drinks, what she does while she is home, etc. Another specific line of questioning focused on Lutfi's possible relationship with a photo agency called X17. The basis for the questioning was the potential sale of pictures by Lufti to the agency hence the questioning about where Lufti's income comes from. Friends of the pop tart have insisted that Lufti has been a calming influence on Spears.
