Who wants to read DA Rosenthal's email?

Be careful what you email, for someday it may be all over America's court system. At least if you're a district attorney.

So knows Harris (Texas) County district attorney Charles A. Rosenthal Jr., called by some "Texas' most powerful prosecutor." While Rosenthal has already had email messages he sent to his secretary Kerry Stevens, with whom he carried on an affair, and is currently embroiled in a civil right lawsuit, in which he is accused of trying to cover for several sheriff deputies for an arrest gone wrong, Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt of Houston federal court has now ordered that some 2,500 other pieces email sent by Rosenthal may be released to the public.

The email in question is said to contain racist jokes and pornographic material. Republican Party leaders have essentially denied Rosenthal the opportunity for a third term as DA, but and the Houston branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People today asked for Rosenthal's resignation: ""How can he continue to prosecute people on issues of public integrity when he already has indicated that he lacks public integrity?" said Houston NAACP representative James Douglas.
