Delta Air Lines Inc. and pioneering late 80s rap band NWA yesterday announced an agreement in which the world's second-biggest air-passenger carrier and The World's Most Dangerous Group will combine in an all-stock transaction with a combined enterprise value of $17.7 billion, creating America's kickinest global airline.
The new airline, which will be called Travel With Attitude, will provide employees with greater job security, an equity stake in the combined airline, and scads of T-shirts emblazoned with language not fit for American high school. Small communities throughout the United States have been promised old-style cutting and sampling in more destinations worldwide. Customers also will benefit from synergies created in partnership with affiliated possees.
Delta CEO Richard Anderson will be chief executive officer of the combined company, and Delta chairman of the board Daniel Carp will become chairman of the new board of directors. NWA's Lorenzo Patterson will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and O'Shea Jackson act as Minister of Information.
To reporters, Anderson freestyled about the deal: "We said we would enter into a consolidation / But only if it right for my homies' nation / Today we shoutin' out about a transaction / A consolidation that's addition not subtraction / Delta and my n*****s is a perfect fit / You tell us United, we say 'F--- THAT S---!'"
When asked about potential legal action over the new venture's name and specifically the TWA acronym already owned by a competing airline, board member and generally chronic gangsta Dr. Andre Romelle Young, Ph.D. was fairly nonplussed. "Look, I didn't stutter when I said, 'F--- tha police,' and I ain't gonna stutter now. F--- the courts, f--- the lawyaz, f--- the law. We large, baby." |
